I followed Clark's Garage instructions for replacing the speakers without removing the windows. Worked like a charm - just requires patience and care. Be careful not to bend the panels too much as they can be a bit brittle from age.
It took me about 3 hours and I would rate my skills as below average (certainly compared to some of the people on this thread).
