I don't know if I'd do that, but I've left money by my half full drink and come back to see the space wiped clean. I guess I didn't convey the correct message.
But, wouldn't it be great if you heard about some folks that dashed only to leave behind something of value or even the freakin' keys? I'd love to hear them explaining why they were all in the parking lot with check unpaid when one of them realized what the real cost would be if he left whatever it was behind.
I've never dashed, but I leave restaurants all the time with the money left in the little book. Not showing either, but a decent tip included. Not once has anyone even taken a second look. They make it too easy if you ask me.
