Thanks for all the great feedback. I figured I was on the right track getting rid of the wood look. And you're right, wood is for burning, not for a sports car interior...

The red button in the left vent is an alarm LED. And, I agree about the wiring. The PO tried to wire the stereo and alarm himself and did a smashing job, LOL... I am taking it to the alarm/stereo shop to have it all rewired.

I'll keep posting my progress and everyone can see how the brushed aluminum comes out.
