If your lucky you local body shop has several plastic bumper covers they would love to get rid of...

I took an old Boxster front bumper cover and cut a section out of each corner. The curve matched the factory arms/deflectors perfectly.

It increased the surface are and also extended it much lower to the point they were nearly touching the ground under braking.

Seemed to help his car...It took about an hour and the most expensive parts were the 6mm bolts and fender washers holding them to the existing defleftors. Good luck
