I think you are correct. Pelican has had trouble with the US supplier(s) of these parts. You might get yours from Autofarm, Mittelmotor or others nearer the UK. I would most likely prefer the short weld across the pans. The longer the welded seam, the more welds, the more to distort, etc. I've just not seen the long option.

Mittelmotor only have the one on first picture, I'm bit worried as it would have longer seam to weld.
