Floor pan sheetmetal replacement

I'm just about to place order for various sheet metal parts, just quick question for somebody who has done fur floor pan replacement before:

as floor panels are sold in 2 pieces, is there any difference if you replace it using panels that are split into left and right hand side pedals vs ones that have split into rear and front sections (but full wide)? I would imagine latter is easier to replace but some places only sell floor panels that are split into left and right panel.
So are both as diffficult to use?

Thanks in advance!

Can you show me the link to the ones split down the middle? I'll voice my opinion after I see those. I'm an autobody welder.

Here are two choises, after welded not difference but first one have seam front to rear and other one right to left. So which one would you prefer when changing panels?
(first one (left and right sections) are more commonly available in Europe)

ps. I wouldn't post this question if Pelican would either of these sheet metal but I understood there are not sheet metal available currently.

I think you are correct. Pelican has had trouble with the US supplier(s) of these parts. You might get yours from Autofarm, Mittelmotor or others nearer the UK. I would most likely prefer the short weld across the pans. The longer the welded seam, the more welds, the more to distort, etc. I've just not seen the long option.

HTH.

Thanks!
Mittelmotor only have the one on first picture, I'm bit worried as it would have longer seam to weld.

Well don't worry as much. Get what you can. If you fit it up well with Clecos and metal screws and take your time on the welds, either will work fine.

Now, if you have to butt weld the first one, that would be bad. And, if you're going for total originality, the first one will be harder to make undetectable.

Thanks for good advice, very much appreciated!!
I think I will then try to find floor panels with front and rear sections. It would have been easy to just order it among other sheet metal but functionality first. And as my project will take long time I have plenty of time to order it somewhere else, just bit more $$.
