My brother kept every receipt for every repair/service. Looks like he gave MM about $12K including shipping the car from Eureka, CA to LA. In addition to the "usual" rebuild stuff, it looks like other major parts included new pistons, time sert case (whatever that is), crankshaft, alternator rebuild, clutch, brakes/rotors all the way around.
I'd love to at least get it started. As I said, it turns over fine. Plenty of gas in the tank. Is it difficult to check for fuel & spark on these things?
I only have a couple of days before I finish cleaning out the brother's house and have to get back to the east coast to my real job. The landlord is letting me keep under the cover in the driveway for a couple of months. Based on what I've heard from you guys, I'm thinking of setting a reserve of $1500 on EbayMotors (buyer to arrange for shipping.) Does that seem reasonable??
