Thanks to everyone who responded with suggestions and advice.
I have already received a number of offers on the car and have agreed to sell it to a local buyer. Based on the helpful posts here I believe the price is a fair one. My brother had great plans for restoring his beloved 911. It appears that his passion for Porsche was not unique. He would be pleased that the car has found a good home with someone who will be bringing it back to life.
