My widebody fenders are just asking for stone chips but I think it looks better without the stone guards. Since I had only one fender repainted and the other still has its stone guard I'm going to put the stone guard back on. With that said the stone guard didn't totally protect my fender from chips 'cause stones know how to miss the stone guard.
