group911, you might be right on the yellow holes. I was thinking the cable beside it was the e-brake cable, but I just looked again and that's the heater cable. So, that mistery is solved.
For the red, here is another pic of the end of the wire. I'm thinking (if someone could confirm) the car (which is a 69) is set up for both mechanical and electronic speedo cables??? I'm just not sure because I've never worked on one with an electric speedo.
