Thanks guys, much appreciated as usual. I’m sure I can find something else to spend my money on.
I did have the ports plugged in my car. Fortunately my shop did a slow (3 days) flush job as opposed to the very costly factory removal & ream job recommendation. The check engine light went away and has not come back on since.
For those of you yet to tackle this problem it seems if you have the time to let your shop do the Chemtol (I could have the product wrong?) flush treatment you can save a chunk of change. The Porsche dealer told me I needed to have the engine removed to get to the tubes.
I am ever so grateful for your valued advice.
