There are so many variables that affect the value that there is no way anyone can come close to helping you without more information. I understand you not wanting to disclose too much for fear of losing the chance of a purchase, but unless you want to rely on your admitted limited knowledge, some specifics need to ge given

The above really doesn't help much either--too subjective. Tell us about
:
rust; paint (color, condition, matching code); engines (numbers, type, original to car,); interior (cracked dash, seat condition, carpet, headliner); wheels (alloy or steel), etc.
Any of the above items will help determine value, otherwise, you're on your own
