Tiptronic Problems?

Hi all...I'm new to the forum and new to the world of Porsche having bought a '99 Boxster S in June.

When in auto mode, the upshift slurs badly as if the clutch was slipping. Also, the gears seem to 'hunt' without any gear change showing on the console indicator - for example, in 5th gear the sound of the engine will rise as if it had changed down to 4th, but the indicator shows 5th. In manual mode, there is some slurring between the gears, but I can lessen than by backing off the throttle a little during the gear change.

When coasting, particularly downhill, the engine tries to get to idle mode but stops at ~1,000rpm, resulting in lurching as if the brakes were grabbing.

This is a low-mileage car (36,000) that has been serviced every 3,000 miles.

Could the transmission oil need changing, and if so is that something I could do myself?

I'd appreciate any replies. Cheers.
