What do you mean by "serviced" every 3,000 miles? What exactly has been performed?

I imagine the fluid, if original, should be changed, if not for mileage, but for AGE. It is nearly 9 years old. I would start with that first.

Also, you may want to search out other local tips and drive them for a comparison of how they feel. Its awkward to put into words the "feelings" you have about your transmission.

You might also try a local dealer/shop familiar with the TIP to make sure yours is working satifactorily.
