Yet another confusing thing about our different prices. I can understand our prices being more, but I would've thought that the difference would be a common percentile, not changing with every bloody model.
Be interesting to see what the SKRR is worth here as opposed to the US.

Are there import taxes that are based on HP or engine config? I realize a tax like that would make little sense, but I sort of feel that way about many taxes already. I have no idea, but it does seem strange to me that the difference is so great.
I believe in the US, the price of the K has a lower profit margin (or offset by some marketing money) to attact new to BMW buyers. The K1200S is one of the more conventional "looking" bikes they make and might bring in the traditional Japanese bike buyer.
In the US, it seems that Horsepower rules and that the R1200S didn't survive as a "sport bike" with only 122 hp didn't surprise me (@ the price they were asking).
That said, I'd love to track an R1200S.
