Dang, I sure am all confused now!
More info for u guys which might help me:
car is 83SC.
Speedo is NOT mechanical.
Ticking noise started yesterday afternoon. Would you believe that along with the right rear ticking sound, I had a left rear flat! Bummer, and CostCo would not fix z-rated tires (for liability purposes).
This morning the ticking was present after driving 10 miles. The first 10 miles no noticeable ticking (clicking) sound.
This afternoon, on my home (30 miles total), the darn ticking sound WAS NOT present.
Gentlemen, the ticking sound is VERY LOUD. I thank you for the speedo input, but thinking logically the speedo could never generate that much noise. I could be wrong. I'll check anyway.
Give me mo' input!
