Andy: I like the fabric cord inserts better for look and feel. They might not last as long as all vinyl, but I'd go with what looks best and is most comfortable. Seats can always be reupholstered, if they get a bit worn. I'm sure you'll have many years of service before that's necessary. The factory did fabric inserts for many years.... My 2 cents. -Doug
