I'd use a solvent maybe - but then how do you get rid of the solvent/oil mix...

You can toss a small amount of kitty litter in the trash (landfill).

If a lot of oil i is best sent to a recycling/haz waste place - your local parts store and dump (transfer station) can tell you what to do with it.

For the second set of kitty litter - step on it & grind it in with your shoes. Vac up.

milt's cement dust idea sounds like a good one for the finish.
