Hey guys, so I changed the CV axles, checked the tires and rotors and pads, all checked out fine. My mechanic claims that the noise I'm hearing is coming from the tranny ... a friction-induced noise that comes on once every turn of the tires (which is why I suspected the tires and rotors in the first place) ... the noise gets loudest between 40 and 60 mph, then sort of becomes steady at 80mph ...

I've taken good care of my tranny in terms of not driving hard or auto-xing or anything like that, and I've had Valvoline 80W90 Durablend semi-synthetic fluid in there for the past year or so, so it was never low on fluid ...

Is there anything I can try to get rid of this sound? like switching to redline or swepco fluid?
