yes, the car is coming along pretty well.
the intake made a huge difference, although the "family" opinion was that it should have been yellow like the car. My own opinion is that if yellow, the amount of yellow would have been overwhelming. I thought the red would be a nice offset/contrast.
There are still many things to do to the car to really get it together, such as replacing the bumper cover beading on both ends, filling the rub strip holes on the left quarter panel (a slight oversight by Dad), and getting the rest of the leather interior in (seats, door panels, rear quarter panels, hatch pieces, dashboard). We did get the headliner in just before I left for home, so that was a difficult job out of the way--the leather interior came from a donor car, so bolt holes and things don't line up the same.
now, if I could just get him to put some wheel spacers on the back......
