Don't know the production numbers on these but they were built in relatively small numbers..
- They did not sell well when new..
- Were pretty much unloved and sacrificed during the 356 run-up of the 90's
- Rather than being lovingly restored, many of them were parted-out or converted to cabs
- In the later 90's up into recent years, they have developed somewhat of a following due to the relative obscurity

As with any 356, you need to have it checked-out by someone knowledgeable prior to purchase, as one never knows what lurks under the pretty paint on one of these.
Seller stated in add that previous work had been done to the bottom.. That could mean the pan, longitudinals, inner rockers etc.. not enough detail
