The fuel level sender is easily seen accessed from inside the car under the cargo carpet is a black plastic plug. The level sender has a cap (like an old Mason Jar lid) also a fuel return hose the excess fuel sent to the engine returns here. If you were to" fill " the tank as it is now you could then loosen the return hose CAREFULLY and see if gasoline runs out. You can also run it down near where it shows empty or the warning light comes on and remove the sending unit and look inside the tank to see IF it really is near empty.
