At first, the ticking was very very intermittent. Then, ticking would start for a few seconds, stop for a long while, then start again. My ticking was very very intermittent.
I concurred with everybody about the CV joint because ultimately the ticking was loud enough for me to pinpoint that it was the right CV joint.
