You need to make the drive, even if you come back with an empty trailer. I live in So Cal and took my trailer back to Oklahoma a few years back to buy a 67 Mustang Fastback that was represented as very little rust. It was a Fred Flintstone car at best and I drove all the way back with an empty trailer. Did a Phoenix run a year later with the same result. Better than being stuck with a car you don't want and that you can't unload.
