914 value vs 944
I have owned both cars
a 1970 euro spec 914 [ with VW badges ]
and
a 1984 usa 944
but the resent values with the 914 look way too high to me
with the cars original prices so far part but now reversed in value
and the 914 so very prone to rust damage
while few 944's have much rust unless driven in salt
btw a resent post of a striped 914/6 offered bare tub at 5 k as an example
how different is the bare tub 914/6 from the VW/4 car I thought the bolted on bits
form all of the real differences and once striped the collector value is gone
