car or tub in question was bare bare bare
no hub or axles or any other bolt on bits came with it
and the car was hit and bent too [ straightened ]
just a uni-body and sheet metal
so is a VIN # really worth that much
esp as there is no longer an original anything but the vin #
and about the same starting point as a 914/4 tub
now I understand an original 914/6 value
and the high cost of doing a 914/4 to /6 up grade
BUT I think a 944 turbo is a far better street car then the 914/6
a better high speed ride and far safer too
for far less cash
and the base 944 is a better car then a VW motored 914
now on an auto-X track the 914 wins
