I saw that thread in my research before purchasing the post 07/2003 belt, which my bike clearly is by the markings on the frame, and by VIN lookup. Built 03/2004, nearly a year after the change, yet I have the old style adjustable alt, with the long belt.
BTFW, I had to special order the damn belt and wait a goddam week for the ****ing wrong part!
Next time am I supposed to remove the part, then go to the ****ing dealer with it in hand and spoon feed the muther****ers? From ****ing BMW??? How goddamn hard is it to get accurrate infor..****ing..mation! I ordered 3 ****ing parts and 2 of them were wrong! A belt and a damn screw!!! Do they know whats going on, NO, I have to look it up my damn self on the internet, and then when i mention that, those *******s say "dont believe what you read, this is the one you need right here, the date says so". **** OFF CC, NEVER AGAIN!!!
