Doug, Use caution, all will tell you with reasonable good reason that they are not responsible for glass that breaks, problem is that includes those that dont know what they are doing.
Have a manual?? give them the procedure if not drop me a note & I will email you a pdf. cut the front & rear out, razor or knife parallel and on surface of glass into seal, then down into seal along trim (90 degres to glass), this wil allow you to pull the part of the seal off that holds glass, then pusg / lift glass out, no pressure on glass with goofballs trying to push the glass our and maybe break it.
Rear 1/4's Hinged?? I have early coupes and a 71 targa so IF hinged, they unscrew, 2 hinges at forward edge then the swing latch at the rear, if not do as above.
I was having the 71 painted in Dec, called dealer for recomendation of glass shop, called made apt, told my buddy at body shop who was going to do it, he started laughing, told me a horror story of a 65 Mustang he put a lot of time in on for owner. So I call ask if these guys had ever removed the glasss from a 911, they think so, an early car no I dont think so, descrobed the seal, Oh Yea we push those out!! Canciled their call re-read the manual, went by at lunch and cut the seals done in 15 min and made my buddy happy when he ask me to take them with me so they did not risk breaking them.
Drop me a note if you want a pdf of manual pages.
