We had an informal 10-code when the patrol officers were taking a potty break... 10-100 and 10-200 - ie going #1 and #2. While not an official code, it was good for the dispatchers to know whether the officer would be out of service for a coupe a minutes or a bit longer.
One day our watch commander came on the radio and announced he would be out of service for a 10-200. Well, the base commander, a very no-nonsense woman, happened to have one of our radios onstalled in her car and immediately requested additional information on what a 10-200 was. While I was trying to figure out how to phrase it, the watch commander came on a few seconds later and explained it wasn't on the code sheet, but he was informing dispatch that he was taking a bathroom break. That job was probably the most fun I've ever had while getting paid.
