I replaced the plastic bushings in the shift rod coupling and the plastic parts in the shifter mechanism. Man...like a new car. Another question...I noticed when I reassembled the shift rod coupling behind the front seats, it wouldnt shift into gear properly...ie, over to the left and up was second gear when it should have been reverse. I adjusted it some and it works but it seems like it could be fine tuned. Is there some way of setting this as it should be? The back of the shift rod coupling connects with a set screw but the front part of it connects with a clamping nut/bolt. I can loosen that, pull the coupling back, turn it a little and then put it back and it changes how it shifts (ofcourse). Is there a magical place setting or is it trial and error. Im good at error.

thanks again

Seth
