Lie under the driver's side while someone else depresses the clutch. Clutch lever should move. If it does, mechanical problem. I have seen a stuck disc do this. . .bumping the starter with clutch depressed should free it up. You could also put the car in 5th and push it forward with clutch depressed.
If the lever doesn't move, hydraulic problem. If it were my high mileage car, I would buy new master and slave cylinders, and a new hose just for peace of mind.
