I recently just got done putting in a brand new transaxle in my 1984 944. So, while I was upgrading the trans, I decided to upgrade the linkage with a Weltmeister short throw shifter.
After following the worlds worst directions, I figured out how to put the assembly on the car. But, now, the car WILL NOT shift into gear #2,4, or reverse.
I must have something backwards.
Or, I may have the support bar- the filthy copper bracket that attaches to the other side of the trans- in the wrong spot. But I only found one hole over there...
Ideas?
