a maita has a good 50 50 balance like the 944 about the same hp and tork from there 1.8L motor the weigh is about 500 lbs lighter . there are more things you can do to a miata to get HP and Tork than you can to a 944 . that is if you don't want to put your self in the poor house doing so. one of my 8v 944's i spent enough money on to compete with cars like the mazda's i could have a fleat of miata's . so can it be doen YES .
