He is kinda old fashioned. The "Till death do us part" bit still means something to a lot of people. Problem is that he is concerned that she might rush things up a bit (with the guns) and would prefer to get out of this alive and in one piece.
The "bacon necklace" sounds good but she would just shoot the critters. Would assume that she could be a bit mean if needed.
