You might try cleaning all the connections. They have been known to be corroded on these older cars. If fact you might just clean all the connections on the car. Then it is just the matter of making sure that the wires are correct. If you are having a problem.
You might also get or make a larger wiring diagram. It will help you trace the wires. I use one that is about 24"x40".
