Targa bar/cover re-paint...
Good morning, I'm in the midst of trying to remove the Targa bar cover from my '89 911 so that I can have it repainted........previous owner tried to "sand" off all of the factory black and it's not all the pretty.
I've been successful in removing the old rubber/weatherstripping seal that runs around the front part of the band (911 565 091 47) and have already ordered a replacement for later. They issue comes when I goto remove the inner lining as I understand there are (2) nuts at the base of both sides that needed to be removed before the cover will come off.
Is there anyone that's done this or perhaps a tech thread out there that can help guide me through.........??
