The trim on my car is the silver/chrome. So I went from the body color hoop to the stainless.
IMOthe best looks are as follows
black trim-black hoop
silver/chrome trim-stainless hoop
custom color trim- custom color hoop
Also, I picked up my stainless hoop for 100 dollars from a dismanter. I did that because I wasnt convinced until it went on that stainless was the way to go.
** small piece of advice **
use lots of blue tape and towels when you take the hoop off and put it on.
once you get the screws out and wiggle the hoop out it will sort of spring out and could cause some paint damage
