Great article by Vince Winkel on the S1000RR. he interviewed Pieter De Waal at BMW Motorrad USA and the comments offer a new perspective on the 2010 Superbike of the year. It's nice to get the answers for the top for a change rather than from the talking heads.

BMW expects the RR to eventually outsell the GS! The average of a BMW owner in the US is 50 and that goes up by .7 years each year. He say that the litre bike owner is about 34. Bringing the generation behind the existing buyer of BM bikes on-board is going to be like doubling the BMW market.
