ON-Understanding the S1000RR
Great article by Vince Winkel on the S1000RR. he interviewed Pieter De Waal at BMW Motorrad USA and the comments offer a new perspective on the 2010 Superbike of the year. It's nice to get the answers for the top for a change rather than from the talking heads.
BMW expects the RR to eventually outsell the GS! The average of a BMW owner in the US is 50 and that goes up by .7 years each year. He say that the litre bike owner is about 34. The bike is as I have said Dean, aimed at a target that doesn't include us. Even though you are getting one, you are an anomaly. Over 600 pre-sold is a very good start when compared to the HP2S.
