Look, you can't argue with with this. Countless people have died and continue to die in wars to protect the US constitution, which grants citizens the right to free speech. Police officers are employed to, among other things, uphold those rights. I don't care if it "seems" right to beat someone up for calling a black person a nigger, which of course is a reprehensible action. But it's also a legal action, in every jurisdiction of the US. Period. Police officers, by the very nature of their profession, are held to a higher standard than "regular" citizens, and so should they be. This officer seems incapable of controlling his emotions and should therefore not be interacting with members of the public while on duty.
