That there resides in the human psyche creative forces that drive some to make statements, whether they be through literature, music, dance, sculpture or painting, that aren't driven by the promise of financial gain, is not easily grasped by some others, who equate worth and success only to that which is easily grasped and sells well in the mass market.
2. And, as perhaps pointed out in this thread, appearances can be deceiving.
As far as those asking me to post pics of my own art, why should I? That would contribute absolutely nothing to this thread. And besides, this is the internet! I can be anything I say I am! Maybe I'm not even an artist at all! Hell, for all that anyone but a few here know, I could be a freakin' repo man!
