Hi Klaus,
I understand what you mean. I have them on my 65 C Coupe.
I think the wheels are known as "star alloys" or "Porsche alloys", I'm sure there are other names. I used 5.5 x 14 Porsche star alloys that came off of early 914's and certain 911/912's (I don't remember the year). I had two objectives in mind, change the wheels, and lower the car. The 14's with low profile tires lowered the car quite a bit. When I bought the wheels, which are pretty hard to find in 14 inch size, I had them refinished - flat black with only the outer portion of the rim polished shinny brignt. The alloy wheels are also a lot lighter than the stock 4.5 x 15 Porsche chrome wheels. They look great. I did have some problems with the tires rubbing the inside of the fender front and rear. The solution was a 1/4 inch spacer on the front wheels, and grinding off about 1/2 inch of the lip of the piece that holds the rubber bump damper up under the rear fenders. Having done that, everything clears even on tight turns. I like the change, but can
easily put the stock chrome wheels back on.
