Sounds like you are interested in reproducing the original look with your calipers. for your SC.
I just completed a rebuild on the brakes on a 1980 SC, and have been looking for a chance to show off the result. The calipers had a bit of rust and lots or grunge. They cleaned up pretty well using brake cleaner and wire brush. the clean up revealed a dull silver original finish. May have been a bit brighter when new. Sorry I didn't take pics at that stage for you to look at. But the Ace silver Hi Temp paint I used to refinish looked similar in color, quite a bit shinier than original. I also picked up some black paint to do the fasteners with but came to the conclusion that was a bit over the top for me.
The plated pieces of the earlier reply look a bit more yellow than what I found on my calipers. Probably longer lasting than the paint I used tho.
By the way the rust prof coating on the rotors ( from pelican) looks very nice now, hope they stay so nice
