Hey thanks for your concern there Ricer. Yes...I am surprised. When I bought my first 951 I enjoyed it for two months until the balance shaft bearing went (destroying the block with it). $4500 down the drain. Had I bought this car instead, I'd still be driving the car every day two years later. It's a solid dependable car. That's how it would have saved me money.

This is a car for someone to drive and enjoy. I don't think anyone exects a concourse car. Restore? You can spend endless money restoring. What would you spend 5k on? Clutch is solid; no grinds in the trans; suspension tight; boosts perfectly well; top end rebuild 20K ago.

I guess you could spend a little money ($80 for the Porsche reflector; $125 for the header panel; $250 for decent seat; pay someone to install the manual rack ; $40 at autozone to covert/recharge the AC? if you don't want to get your hands dirty? Pay someone to install the sunroof??, $500 Maaco). It does run rich...never figured out the problem but it's still getting good gas mileage. It can't be dangerously rich. Change the oil more or get it checked out. It's probably not such a bad thing for a turbo car anyway. Seriously, what do you expect to get for 4800 in the 951 world?

Dude, perhaps you're right, but have you tried to sell a car on Craigslist lately? I thought it was very kind of me to extend the olive branch out to the Nigerians.
