Unfortunately, the 2.2T is about the least desireable 911 engine out there. The problem is that it's a difficult engine to rebuild and upgrade inexpensively:
- Zenith carbs, not Webers
- non-counter weighted crank
- cast cylinders
- small 32mm port heads
- weaker 3/4R case
70,000 miles is getting long in the tooth for an early 2.2 - valve guide technology wasn't what it is today.
As Mark mentioned above, I sold a Euro 3.0 SC with proven leakdown and compression for about $4,300. I'd put his in the $2,000 range for a running engine - you could probably part it for more, but obviously more hassle.
