Up to '86 are a different length Tierod than the '87 and up. Also different lengths on the non Power steering '83 - 86, different on non power '87 and up. Joint ends are all the same on 924, 924S, 944, 928 and 968.
Autozone was a good deal for me as I drove to the store with my core and walked out with the correct unit, and with new ends $215.00 - still working good after 4 years. (Prices may be a little different since then though).
