Drag Night

Just got back from the drag stip - nothing quite like putting on women's clothes and driving really fast!

First off, I've found the center of the Blingiverse, at least in NorCal. I felt old and plain. Lots of little hotties running around - that almost makes it worthwhile.
I only got 3 runs in before I bailed - there was a lot of sit-around-and-wait, got tired of it.

  • 13.478@99.95 1.21 reaction(!), 2.03 60'
This was my first time at a drag strip, and wasn't fully clued in on how things worked. Like pulling forward until the staging light comes on - nobody told me about that! Or about the other lane getting the green before mine, which distracted me on the last run. Oh well.

I wasn't too hard on the machinery - I was launching @ 2500RPM - nothing heroic. I used my Kumho Victoracers on the rear, RE730 street tires on the front. I started off 30PSI and tried bleeding down to 28, but I was getting wheel hop - I think I'd rather have the wheel spin than the hop.

The best ///M3 (E36) came in at a blistering 14.5
