Engine pull.

Hey I want to pull my engine and do an internal inspection and gasket reseal. This is mainly because cyl# 6 has a blown head gasket and gets about 6:1 compression and there is coolant in the cylinder.

I have encountered a slight problem as the engine hoist I have borrowed from a friend only has a 36inch reach. So I have decided to remove the front bumper and radiator to slide the hoist up to the motor.

What is the beat way to approach this? Do i have to take the fenders off as well to remove the cross metal behind the bumper? I looked up front end removal in the shop manual and it basically describes the procedure as "YES." Then goes into welding the frame or some other useless (for me) information.

I'll post pics as I go along.

Thanks,
Anthony.
