Word to the wise. Vertex has a really cheap clutch kit package, but it sucks. Just put it on my 86 911 with the same 3.2 and 915, it will hold but the low speed stuff (like backing up in a parking lot) creates hot spots like you wouldn't believe. I would contact
South Bend Clutch - Dodge clutch kits and Kevlar Pilot Brgs. Dnya Max Clutch Kits for high performance. see if they can't get you something fantastic for a good price.
Once you get the pressure plate off could you post some pictures of the plate and clutch?
