Excellent Prices for Long Hoods...WOW
Has anybody looked at the prices in this month Excellence Magazine (April 2011) Porsche 911 long hoods (1965-73)?
The prices hit a high in 2008 then dropped in 2009 and 2010, and these 2011 prices look to be back to highs again.
I do believe these cars will be very strong, I will even predict, that the long hoods will gain more per cent value then the 356.
Here are my reasons
1) 356 are very old cars in todays standards, they are slow, but fun to drive. They are geared to guys from that generation. For example I am 62 years old and love the 356 series but I grew up with the long hood 911's. Just like the muscle car era for the baby boomer's.
2) Prices for 356 are too much for average collectors in this economy and future outlooks, the cars have priced themselves into the elite few. These long hoods will for our kids be too expensive if not now for some models.
3) The long hoods are the true Porsche that is still made today (911 series still is around) and can be easily modified to everyone tastes.
just my 2 cents
